Terms of service
Last updated 6 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Layaqa for using the website and app at layaqa.net (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Layaqa.
Not medical advice
Layaqa helps you record body measurements and see how they change. Figures it calculates, such as waist-to-hip ratio, body-fat estimates or trends, are for your own tracking only. They aren't a diagnosis or medical, fitness or nutrition advice. Talk to a qualified professional before starting a new fitness or nutrition program, or if you have concerns about your health.
Your account
- You need to be at least 16 years old to use Layaqa.
- Give us accurate details, and keep your email address up to date so you can verify and recover your account.
- Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has access to it.
- If you sign in with Google or Apple, that provider's own terms also apply to how you sign in.
- One person per account. Don't create accounts for other people without their permission.
Your data and photos
Your measurements and progress photos belong to you. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the service for you, for example to draw your charts or show your photos back to you. We don't sell them or use them for advertising. See the privacy policy for details.
Only upload photos of yourself, or photos you have the right to upload. Don't upload anything illegal or anything that shows someone else without their consent.
Friends and the leaderboard
If you add friends, they can see your name, check-in streak and the direction of your trends, but never your measurements or photos. Only share your invite link with people you want to connect with, and be respectful. You can remove a friend at any time.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service. In particular, don't:
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or parts of the service you're not meant to reach;
- interfere with or overload the service, or get around its security or rate limits;
- use bots or scripts to create accounts or scrape data;
- use Layaqa to harass anyone or break the law.
Price
Layaqa is currently free, with no trial period and no payment details required. We may add paid features in the future. If we do, we'll tell you the price clearly before you're charged anything, and what's free today won't become paid without notice.
Changes to the service
We're actively building Layaqa, so features may be added, changed or removed. We'll try to give notice of changes that affect you significantly. We may also pause the service for maintenance.
Ending your account
You can stop using Layaqa at any time. To delete your account and its data, choose Delete account in Settings. After you confirm by email, the account is deleted after 7 days unless you cancel first. If you can't sign in, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first and give you a chance to download your data.
No guarantees
We work hard to keep Layaqa running and your data safe, but the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We can't promise it will always be available, error-free or that calculated figures will be exact. We recommend keeping your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Layaqa isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from decisions you make based on information in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll change the date above. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Layaqa after that, the new terms apply.
