Measure what the scale misses.

Layaqa turns a weekly tape-measure check-in into a clear trend for your waist, chest, arms and every point you care about. The work you put in finally shows up in the numbers.

No credit card. About two minutes to your first check-in.

Drag or flick the tape. Every number on this page that uses your waist follows it.

Six weeks. The scale moved 0.2 kg. The tape moved 4.8 cm.

Bodyweight swings with water, salt, glycogen and hormones from one morning to the next. Lose fat while you build muscle and the number can sit still for months, even as your body clearly changes.

A tape measure sees what that average hides. Press play and watch the same person over the same six weeks, one day at a time.

Day 42 of 42

Bodyweight, weighed every morning80.4 kg today−0.2 kg
Waist, measured every Sunday83.2 cm at week 6−4.8 cm
Chest went up 2.1 cm over the same stretch. The scale averaged both changes into nothing.
  • Measure in the morning, before you eat
  • Snug, not tight
  • Same spot, same posture, every time
  • Read it after a normal exhale
  • Keep the tape parallel to the floor
  • Measure twice, log the average
  • Don't flex. Don't suck in.

Measure it right, every time.

A tape reading is only as good as your technique. Pick a point to see exactly where the tape goes, then do it the same way every week.

    Common mistake:

    Every measurement, in one ledger.

Bodyweight and height, plus chest, shoulders, neck, waist, hips, arms, forearms, thighs and calves. Add fields of your own, and split any of them into left and right.

Lengths in centimetres. An example of twelve weekly check-ins.

    A check-in takes under a minute.

Choose your points once. Each week, grab the tape, type in the numbers and save. Every trend redraws with the new data.

    Streaks keep you showing up.

Check in at your own pace, weekly, every two weeks or monthly, to extend the run. Every four check-ins in a row earn a streak saver that covers one you miss.

18 weeks and counting. Longest run: 32 weeks.

A short setup. A dashboard that fits.

Layaqa asks for your goal, units, sex and height, takes your first measurements and lets you choose how often to check in: weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Your dashboard and streak are built around the answers. Try a quick version here.

Add a friend with an invite code, pick a goal like once a week, and keep a streak going together. Miss one and it starts again from zero, so you keep each other checking in. Your numbers stay private.

Something else on your mind? Write to [email protected].

      What can I measure?

Bodyweight, height, chest, shoulders, neck, waist, hips, arms, forearms, thighs and calves. You can also add fields of your own and track any of them left and right. Alongside them you can keep progress photos, log fitness tests and rate your energy, mood and sleep each day.

      How does the personalization work?

A short onboarding asks for your goal, units, sex and height, takes your first measurements and lets you pick how often to check in: weekly, every two weeks or monthly. Your dashboard and streak are set up around those answers.

Can I see my friends' progress?

You can add friends with an invite code and keep a shared streak with up to five of them: pick a goal, like every week, and you both check in to keep it going. Friends can see your streak if you let them, but never your measurements.

How accurate is the body-fat estimate?

It uses the US Navy circumference method, a long-standing formula built from your height, neck, waist and, for women, hips. Treat it as a consistent way to track change over time rather than an exact lab result.

      Is my data private?

Yes. Your measurements and progress photos live in your own private account and are never made public. Friends see your streak and only what you choose to share. The free tools on this page run entirely in your browser.

Is there an app to download?

No download needed. Layaqa runs in your browser, and on a phone you can add it to your Home Screen so it opens like an app, with check-in reminders as notifications.

      Does Layaqa cost anything?

Not today. Everything is free, with no trial and no credit card. If paid features ever arrive, we'll say so clearly first, and what's free now won't become paid without notice.

      Do I need special equipment?

A tape measure and a scale. Layaqa handles the rest.

Your next check-in could be the one that shows it.

Trade scale anxiety for a number you can trust.
